Choose Equities or High Yield Credit?

I'm debating between two different opportunities at a large AM: equity analyst or high yield credit analyst. What's the better place to be -- or is it a matter of personality, upside vs. downside? Also feel like the equities space is competitive and under pressure from passive but not sure if that matters.

I think HY gives you a more specialized skillset which will differentiate you from more generalists when applying for coveted roles. But again if you are a killer at whatever sector in equities you are covering, the sky is also the limit. It depends. Really is not black and white.
