Chosing from IE, Imperial, Cass

Hi everyone,

If your goal was to work in AM preferably in London, and maybe in US or Canada later, which option would you choose? High GPA from a top Nordic uni, 1 internship in commercial banking, 1 year student job in AM trade support role.

IE Business School - Masters in Finance (50% scholarship)
Cass Business School - Investment Management MSc (no scholarship)
Imperial College Business School - Investment & Wealth Management MSc (probably no scholarship)

Would need a loan for the tuition, whichever school I choose.

Thanks

If the decision was between IC MFin and IE MFin, I would go with IC, but I have no idea about Inv & WM programme placement. I think that IE could be the better option.

The actual program you choose does have an impact on the placement. I can go even as far as saying that programs have more of a reputation compared to the colleges. Some companies recruit specifically from a program rather than the college itself.

From the given list, it is all up to you and your preference. It goes with the saying, study in the country you want to work in. This goes with saying Cass and Imperial are a choice that go with your preference. But I do not know how much luck you will have with the programs you have selected. Overall IE Mfin program is a better option from the given choices. It will be hard to get a job in London, but IE is well known college, as well as the program itself.

I would also consider taking the GMAT/GRE and going for more well-known colleges in London (I.e. LSE). Getting a job in IB/AM/PE/VC to start with and eventually going back to AM a couple of years later.
