CIBC World Markets vs TD Securities S&T intern offers
Hello guys,
I have a dilemma right now.
I have been offered both summer internships at CIBC and TD in sales & trading. I know it's a good dilemma to have, but I just want to make sure to take the best decision.
The first one is in Montreal and is solely in sales, but I would touch every desks while the other one is in Toronto and it would be focused on one desk. What makes me doubt is that I've heard that it is simply amazing at CIBC and it does feel like it after I met the the executive directors and MDs. TD has the reputation and is growing fast in the US (internationally as well). It seems like they really want me to join their team ( many MDs called me to ask me if I needed some help to make the decision and if I want to discuss about it as they know I have other offers) ;I even got to meet the head of FX North America yesterday to discuss about it (fx is what I want to do).
I would be the only intern at cibc so greater chance to convert to full-time while at TD, we are 8 I believe and it would be a little bit harder to get the offer even though I'm sure I would get it. (still a risk to consider)
