CISI Certificate in Corporate Finance - worth it?
Hey fellow monkeys,
I'm considering to start the CISI certificate in corporate finance. ( https://www.cisi.org/cisiweb2/cisi-website/study-… )
Does anyone have experience with this one?
You think is worth to spend some time on that? It can boost my CV and give me more opportunities for breaking into IB/M&A?
I read is really well respected in the UK
I'm graduating in accounting and finance and I'll start an MSc next September.
I have free time for study it from the next January btw
Seems interesting but if Im not wrong some banks "force" they employee to do it at some stages. But why not, is a plus imho
Cheers. Definitively thinking about it but actually not sure
bump
In general i would say its a waste of time. Banks make you take some cisi exams (regulatory etc.) but those you are supposed to take during training (absolutely no upside doing before). If you are not studying anything business/economics related and want to pimp up your resume with something financy i would go for cfa instead
