I've worked with their CMBS group in that office and had a positive experience with them, they see good deals. Their models were a little amateur-y which was surprising (example: opex and reimbursements were hard-coded in Argus as a 1 year lump sum so not dynamic with any changes in the argus..) but they move quickly and have a lot of capacity so probably a good place to learn.
How are exits to REPE acquisition type roles?
If you an Analyst-Associate you can go across from Lending to REPE to Development. Citi is a strong name.
True. I turned down an offer from this group in Fall 22. Did not feel good about where CMBS was going. But I agree, solid group to learn from

How is Citi’s CMBS team viewed against other large banks like JPM, BAC, WFC, GS, MS?
CMBS is a commodity.
How prestigious is it to issue a Citi CMBS loan versus a JPM or GS CMBS security?
Citi is by far the top name in CMBS. There are times when other BB’s surpass them in charts but for anyone who follows Commercial Mortgage Alert, Citi routinely sits on top in Conduit and SASB securitization.
