Citi Quantitative Analysis & Trading

I have a superday coming up for Citi Quantitative Analysis & Trading. The 2 yr program allows me to do 1 yr in research, 1 yr in trading, and then choose which one to stay with by the end of the 2 yrs. Does anybody have experience interviewing for this FT position? The first-round was all fit (although there were two interviewers and I heard the other interviewer was a bit technical). What degree of technical questions do you think I should anticipate?

All I know is that I have to be there by 8 am and they're providing me with a hotel for the full day...

Thanks

If you follow the markets constantly (read a financial newspaper) and know why Citigroup differs from other firms you will be fine (assuming you are likable and have a personality). This advice is really true of any superday.

This makes sense for the first round, but how can they possibly do this for the final round? Usually they weed out the weirdos in the first round, so it makes sense that they want to push you and see how much horsepower is under the hood in the final round before making a hiring decision. Right?

If you're so worried, review some statistics chapters from your intro stat class.

An interviewer once told me (wont say the firm but it was a top 10 BB) that (paraphrased) "You're at the superday so we figure you're capable of working here. We just want to see if we like you."

you'll meet with like 5 diff people.

one will ask you math puzzles (literally off a list)

another guy will ask you to do some coding, so know your data structures and algorithms

you'll also have a resume-based one and where you talk bout current events

another one will give you proof-based math problems

i think the distribution of interviews you get is based on your background.

Bernanky, that is not true. I know someone who was offered after the 9/29 superday. Just because you got rejected, don't make excuses.

Nah brosef. Recruitment is way behind me. If you searched the Citi FT topic in the trading forum, you would've seen that they aren't recruiting. I personally couldn't care less about Citi.

Sorry I cannot be of any help to you, but what were the questions like in your first round phone interview with Citi Quant Track? (I assume it is Quantitative Trading & Strategy division) Also, what kind of skills do they expect candidates to have?

can anyone be more specific as to what first round and superday questions were asked? thanks!
no. I posted the questions for first round and during my superday interview, one of the directors said, "by the way, we saw that you posted the questions we asked YOU in the first round on a forum" Kinda freaky
