I guess I didn't word it well. Essentially, I currently have an offer at Citi in S&T which I'm inclined to take because I'm interested in S&T and found the people to be great. However, I have a first round OC interview with GS, but for Investment Management. I had applied to IB but based on my background (not finance at all), they for some reason gave me an interview for IM (to which I didn't apply). I was wondering whether taking the Citi S&T SA offer or hypothetically working at GS Investment Management would better position me to get an internship at GS in S&T or IBD next year. I was just curious. I know I only have one offer right now.
GS Internal Mobility is quite difficult, and it'll be important what group you actually end up in with GS IMD. If you want S&T, go with Citi and try to get GS through FT recruiting. If you want IBD, go with GS IMD, although this is a much riskier path.

Any ideas?
it would help to hear why you arbitrarily chose GS over Citi for your s&t goal?
edit: just saw, you don't have an s&t goal - you have a GS goal.
and then you come and ask whether working for GS or citi will help you work at GS. your target uni is doing a great job...
