Citi Sustainability and Corporate Transitions Group

Hi monkeys,

I just saw an app open up for Citi's SCT group which seems very relatively new. Saw on news earlier in the year that Citi was starting up a group focused on sustainability and saw that there are not a lot of people in it. Does anyone happen to have any insight into what the group does, what the work consists of, the kind of transactions they focus and potential exit opps? Would it be possible to lateral another group after a year or even the summer analyst program? Would appreciate any insights, thanks.

Can someone please shed light into this? What kind of work they actually do and whether you actually get to work on transactions rather than dd work or sharholder advisory?

It’s an investment banking group, they support all products (M&A, equity, debt) for companies going through the energy transition. Meaning they don’t just do renewables deals / green bonds all day - eg they’ll provide strategic advisory to a coal company looking to long-term shift towards greener sources of energy through M&A as well. Fairly interesting group, started off with mostly people from Power / Energy / Industrials.
