Citigroup Financial Analyst Program

Hello,

It seems like that I will be going to Citigroup for their Full-Time Financial Analyst Program, Its a 3 Year program with rotations in the following groups (FP&A, Controllers, Tax, and Corporate M&A). I just wanted to know what would the exit opps would be coming out of the program, my goal is to be in IBD but as the full-time recruiting is mostly over by now and coming from a Non-Target I think this position is the best offer for me right now.

Any advice on the program and the exit opps into IBD will be really helpful.

Thank You

Congrats! That's a top financial rotation program and should provide a solid foundation for your career.

Most of the times these rotation programs are grooming tracks for middle/upper management in the corporate world. Especially in the company where you've done your rotational program. Most people stay in corporate finance, some try to move to corp dev, some go to B-school.

I'm not sure what your chances are of lateraling into banking, considering these rotational programs have a slightly different focus and are more operations oriented.

I interviewed with them during recruiting season. They are a hard firm to get information on. I was invited for a final round interview with their Corporate Energy team...I declined and then I saw the Team Lead was interviewed for an article on CNBC the next day. Their analyst program had 7 weeks of initial training in NYC, seemed like a lot of lending, syndicated lending...
