Career Resources
Not sure on US, but in London for 3yrs exp where you have primary coverage of names it’s probably £90-100k base and 100% bonus give or take
Seems a bit high to me, what is that based on?
I’ve got a bit more experience and I’m a good chunk higher than that, although that may not be the norm. I do remember around the 3yr mark that recruiters were in the above mentioned ballpark though
our associate program (recruited 1-3yrs from IB) has a fairly structured pay guidance of 225/250/275K. this is for a large (top 5) credit/CLO shop.
what’s the split between base/bonus?
about 50/50
Do they happen to have a private credit arm?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that those working at a CLO fund that doesn’t participate in direct lending can expect lower comp than their direct lending peers or professionals that are generalists spread between both strategies.
Direct lending generally pays more than performing credit.
I think this has scaled up in 2021/2022
Ex worked at a large CLO shop. Comp was 100 base 20-30% bonus, for the experience range highlighted. Not sure if that was typical
Does the firm run a pure CLO strategy/performing loans only? How does comp scale? Seems slightly below mkt
Mix of clos and other vehicles, primarily 1L but large in AUM. Yeah I figured as much
We only hire with 3-5 years experience but all in comp usually around 300k. Midwest.
pure CLO shop? mix of CLO and private debt?
Part of a multi-sector insurance offering, not a dedicated fund.
What kind of comp can someone expect with AUM at 700mm+/head?
How many years of experience? Did you do banking?
Pre-covid scale 2019 (post 2/3 yr banking program):
1st yr associate - $180-215k
2nd yr associate - $225-250k
3rd yr associate - $275-300k
1st yr VP - $320-350k
Adjusted for the 2021 comp raises (post 2/3 yr banking program):
1st yr associate - $200-225k
2nd yr associate - $250-275k
3rd yr associate - $325-350k
1st yr VP - $400-425k
