clueless...interview help

hi,

quick help -- i have an interview with a privately held trading firm today (i know this is short notice...was just informed). i have no idea what to expect. i'm a liberal arts major. how likely is it that they'll ask me technical questions and/or brainteasers?

thanks in advance!

they probably won't ask you too much technical stuff given your background. brainteasers are not really technical finance, so 1 or 2 might be fair game. just think it through, as its better to show a good thought process as opposed to simply blurting out an answer.

without knowing the exact position you are interviewing for, i cannot say much more. it will be more important to know, why you chose your specific school? why you're interested in the specific firm? why you're interested in trading? what are your biggest accomplishments to date, and why are they the biggest? the interviewer might ask you to talk about a school project, and what you could have done better...questions like that.

be confident in your answers and show a positive attitude. you should be fine.
