I like cold approaching to challenge myself Most recent one before covid: - I was walking home and saw a girl wearing some really weird pants. I looked up, she happened to be cute and I said those are some interesting pants. Then I kept the conversation plain and simple, got a number. Our convos weren't too great, so it was over after the second date.
My favorite approaches are when you're traveling, and in the wild, without knowing anyone, and cold approaching strangers in a place as a foreigner. I remember approaching these two girls, we had a lot of fun talking for a good 40 min while waiting in line for some fresh chimney cakes in Budapest. We ended up going on a date later on in the night, and walking around the flea markets, and then went to this really rachet club called Szimpla Kert. The club/bar looks like a tent/something out of a circus, with trees/nature growing everywhere, covered in lights.
The date was going great, however, she was a light drinker and after taking a few sips of her margarita she got really drunk. I was super pissed because I had to take care of a stranger while on vacation, and she was too cheap to uber home (she insisted on taking the bus). No way was I going to let a girl take a bus at 3am home when she is drunk to the point that she can't walk, so we're sitting on bench in the middle of some avenue in Budapest, while she's sleeping on my arm. I felt shitty too because I learned after our date and kissing that she had a long-term boyfriend back home.. ehh
Anyways she sobered up enough to be conscious of her surroundings, gave me a peck on the cheek and got on the bus. As a token of appreciation, I was granted 3 hours of sleep before catching the bus onto my next travel destination!
Do you like traveling solo?
Not OP, but I find solo travel great in doses. Wouldn't do a multi-month trip solo, but tacking on a week or two at the beginning / end of a trip with friends is really cool, getting to meet a ton of people + having the freedom to do whatever you want is great. But if you're introverted it can get boring / lonely at times for sure.
Wear a wedding band. you can say it’s a heirloom and you prefer it on your left hand because you are right handed bla bla bla once the conversation starts. if you want to get a woman’s interest anywhere you go this is the catnip.

This may blow my anonyymity but fuck-it.
I was in college and out being a drunk asshole on Halloween, as one does, and I saw a woman who I guess was dressed as a soldier (I'm not sure) walking down the road. I'm with the boys and I yell out, "Cool floating head costume!" because she was wearing head-to-toe camouflage and I'm what people call a "comedic genius."
She turns around, and I smell some of the loudest loud coming from what I thought was an unfiltered cigarette that I'd neglected to notice, and while I normally pick Jesus over drugs I decided that since I was going to make up for it because all-saints day would be going on tomorrow, and I could bang out some reps for Jesus in the church of iron (Preech!)
It turns out we're going to the same club a few blocks away, and so we decided to walk over together as a big group. We get into the club (I nailed the "how much have you had to drink, buddy?" test) and in we were. We go in and start drinking because it was a day that ended in 'Y' and the rest of the evening was pretty uneventful. I met her friends and managed not to spill mom's spaghetti which was awesome.
I hadn't decided to get into banking yet, but I got got some experience restructuring her insides. All-saints day got a raincheck because a valuable follow-on offering came down the wire. We stayed in touch for a while, but alas, she belonged to the streets. So ends my tale kings, queens, and those in between. The shots from way downtown are the way to go.

I get where you’re coming from, but I’ll have to respectfully disagree.
I get that the style is over-the-top and it can be grating (the Harvard Lampoon does this to me, for the record), but I was cracking myself up the whole time, and if it takes some less-than-stellar lines thrown in there to get one “restructure her insides” then I think it’s worth it.
It may be a limitation of the medium, being funny in person (stand-up, sketch comedy, or, God-forbid, improv) lets you play with timing, tone, inflection, and may other intangibles that don’t really exist in print, which may be why most jokes on paper give off this vibe. Would love to hear your thoughts.
When I’m on vacation i up the amount of cold approaching exponentially. In situations where you won’t see people ever again you have nothing to lose and it makes trips a lot more interesting. When I was on spring break before COVID I was like an AA-12 shotgun, approaching with anyone that was hot. Got laid the first night there with someone I had never met and most likely will never see again. Looking back I’m glad I made the most of it given how I’d be quarantined the next 5 months
"Hey I think we've met before" works 7/10 times which is really high in terms of cold pick ups
Mine is 'hey, I don't think we've met before.' - works every time, all the time.
Fast forward to a good conversation followed by purposely not getting the digits the first time and leaving it as a good encounter. Just paving the way for the second time you run into the person -- to get those digits.
Half of my relationships are probably from cold approaches from girls - I reject most, but not all, so there is hope for the females out there.
i've had great success with cold approach...don't want to get into too much detail...but the most fun i've ever had...nothing beats the thrill of the successful pickup and smash (especially after you get into a relationship...cold approach pickup is like heroin).
I've cold approached several girls on the street(many more at parties) that I ended up fucking. For reference I'm pretty good looking, but there have been times where it was ridiculously easy.
The most interesting story is me and my boy were driving and ended up convincing 3 girls to get in our car and go to a party after which we went back to my place and eventually one left, but we still tag teamed the other two girls. The whole thing felt like a scene out of bang bus.
Haha I did the same with a friend but we had a van not a car and we went to an elementary school and there was no party lol
