Cold Email Alumni- Send to their work email or personal email?

Hi guys, I graduated from a non-target state school and now I'm trying to make the transition. I've read many posts saying that I should send emails instead of using the LinkedIn in-mail, and that's what I am trying to do. And then I found if I get connected with someone, I will be able to click the "see contact info" tab and see his email address. Almost every alumni I added left his/her personal email in the info tab, and that makes me wonder if I send cold emails to them, should I send to their personal email listed in the info tab, or just send to their work email address based on my guess?
