Cold-emailing for openings
So I got laid off two weeks ago from my consulting firm. A very niche firm that is more staff-aug and implementation based. My attack plan recently has been applying to jobs, and finding VPs, Director, Manager, etc on LinkedIN and emailing them directly about the opportunity. Is this a good idea? Can it backfir? I haven't had much luck. One person asked me to forward my resume, but that was yesterday so I'll give it a week before I follow up. Has anyone else done this before, pointers, tips?
