Cold Emailing on Weekends?

Apologies in advance if this is answered elsewhere (I did look around).

So I’ve read a bunch of posts about cold emailing here and it seems like everyone has their own theory about the best time to do it.

Some say it's best on Monday morning when people come into the office and check their emails before getting to work.

Some say it's best Tuesday/Thursday. The post I saw this in didn’t really give an explanation that I understood; the user just said that they had the most success on these days.

While the recommended day/time to email changes from post to post, the goal remains the same: find the day/time that gives the sender the best chance of having their email seen in a crowded inbox.

Absent from most of these posts is any mention of emailing people on a weekend. I was curious if there was a reason for this. The only thing I could think of is that people might not check their email on weekends, but that doesn’t seem right to me (I don’t work in the industry so I could be completely wrong about this). Is it considered rude to cold email someone on the weekend, is it true that people just wouldn’t check their email over the weekend, or is there some other reason that sending out networking emails on the weekend doesn’t seem to be a viable option?

tl;dr
Why not cold email people on weekends?
