College for IB
I have already completed the application process and am now waiting for decisions. Regretfully I was denied ED to Wharton but have heard good news from getting into my safety school of direct admit to Kelley school of business at IU. Obviously this isn’t my top school but I wanted to see how well can I possibly place in IB (preferably Wallstreet over Chicago) if I do have to attend. How is the alumni base, OCR, and what BB, EB, and MM banks recruit from Kelley?
Hi zakkerypercival, whoops, looks like nobody chimed in here.... maybe one of these discussions below is relevant:

You're welcome.
IU Kelley receives a lot of flak on this website (brought on by some of its current students / alums) but as a program, does pretty well for itself. If you are able to get into IBW, you should have a pretty good shot (I think more kids actually go to NYC than Chicago but those are the top two destinations). I know that IU gets good looks at Moelis, Lazard, BAML, JPM, and a handful of MMs (Blair, Lincoln). If you're in-state or have a scholarship, it's a nice low cost alternative that will give you a fighting shot at placing on Wall Street if you put in the effort. That being said, if you were to be accepted by a Georgetown, NYU, or Michigan (Ross), those schools would all make more sense to attend (assuming you don't need to take on a crippling amount of debt).
Note: I just used those three schools because they came to mind but the same logic would hold for many other schools.
How about BC CSOM?
How would you compare Kelley, assuming I’m in IBW, to other colleges such as Vanderbilt, Emory, Notre Dame, or Bentley. Would Kelley be the obvious choice because even though it lacks prestige it has more opportunities such as the IBW?
