College Freshmen advice

Hello I'm starting college at a lower end  semi-target. I am hoping to get an internship this summer but don't know where to start. What types of internships should I target and how should I go about getting them. Additionally, what clubs are the most beneficial to join? I'm already thinking the student managed fund and the finance society, anything else that would help? Lastly, any other general advice do you guys have for me as a Freshmen?

I'm a sophomore at a nontarget, low GPA, but play soccer and am a diversity candidate. Signed at a bb for next summer and I would say just network a much as you can man, call all of your school alumni, then hit up mutual connections. Over that time keep on working on your why and compare to the why of the bankers you speak to. Ofc try to get the best grades and stay involved on campus whether it be student gov or finance clubs/investment funds. Lastly when it comes to internships find something in finance, there are programs everywhere you kinda just need to look and see what you can make happen. `
