College Grad with one year experience how to go about the IBD process

I've noticed many IBD target college juniors and seniors for their internship program making full time offers once their internship is over.

I graduated one year ago from a non target with an average gap ~3.5 with a major in economics. Currently I'm working as a financial advisor for a major wall street firm.

I am planning to take my CFA part 1 in June.

My question is without OCR and being a college student when do college grads who want to transition to IBD get a chance to apply if any.

Are there any FT positions offered to those not in college anymore?

Could try an MMS or MSF. Or work, do the MBA to rebrand. Not sure if you can later from the financial advisor position, except perhaps thru networking?

Yeah honestly I prefer boutiques, I've worked in a smaller firm before working at the major firm I do now. At large firms you get lost in the mix.

I will definitely reach out, cold call and try and position myself for a boutique.

There was a list going around that had the names of all the boutique IB firms in different regions. I tried searching for it but no avail.

Anyone can point me in the right direction?
