I have just graduated and am now an intern at a US West Coast based commercial mortgage banking firm. Working on the production side by doing some underwriting, market analysis, preparing offering memorandums; also doing some work in loan servicing. Company does deals on all kinds of commercial properties.
In the longer-term I'm looking to go into development, and am not sure if it would be good to stay, or maybe just try to network into development now.
Basically, what are the exit opportunities of commercial mortgage banking?
