Commercial/Corporate Banking in Canada

Hey everyone, first post here. So if I break any protocols all apologies ! Short story, I live in Canada and I am in the prairies. Not a fancy school by any means, but one of the better schools in my province and of course majoring in finance.

My main goal is Commercial banking, and too hopefully get into Corporate banking later on. I am curious to get some advice from fellow Canadians on here in regards too...

If and how is Commercial banking any different in Canada vs. the states ?

Is the recruitment process any different then the states ? Any advice ?

How tough is it too get into a credit analyst position here without any hard finance internships and experience throughout undergrad ? Only have basic office experience in a IT/purchasing position using SAP and Excel etc. Covid tanked my internship chances this summer and grad is coming up next year. We have been seeing a lot of that lately.

What jobs would you recommend post grad that help develop experience that would allow a transition into Comm banking/Credit analyst position that would be attainable as a fairly green post grad ?

Anyway, not trying to avoid getting input from people in the states, but from what I've seen Corp Banking seems like a different animal in the U.S.
Regardless any input/advice is much appreciated ! Thanks again.
