Community college or University I do not want to attend?

So I've been freaking out the past week or so over how I do not want to go to the school I'd be attending in the fall.. As of now I am going to U of Arizona to study finance but I'm not too excited to be going there and I know I can do much better. I plan on transferring out after a year from wherever I go, I'm just curious if prestigious schools will prefer say U of Arizona students over a community college.

GPA matters much more than school. However if you go to CC, should probably be working too so universities will see you're busy

source: know a few transfers who went to CC

If I were to go to CC I would get my real estate license, that's main thing pushing me to go to CC.

why would you do that if you want to go into IB? Unless you're talking about the Series exam, in which case it's equally useless.

People go to CC for financial reasons. Making it seem otherwise reflects badly. Of course, this is just my opinion and I could be wrong

Good point, and it does save a lot of money, but I mean there's not much I can do as a freshman plus it's just better than any other job I can get at my age. At the university I'd strictly be studying and working at Chipotle or something completely irrelevant, here I'd be studying at CC and have my re license which is uncommon for my age. I suppose whichever looks more impressive on a resume is best

CHIPOTLE is AWESOME, every employer I know would be THRILLED to see that on a RESUME.

why are these your only two options? Can you take a gap year and do something interesting such as volunteering/working abroad? If you do something interesting and maybe retake the SAT/ACT, you can apply to better schools next year.

Well I will study abroad sophomore or junior year, but otherwise I guess I am limiting myself or I should say my naivete is. I am also going to retake the SAT this fall, I'm not too worried about that my score wasn't too shabby

I have my RE license and currently attend CC. Feel free to pm me.
