Comp at smaller ($100-$200mm) funds?
Curious if anyone has any insight as to average comp for associate and up levels at smaller PE funds ($100-$200mm fund size)? Specifically looking at growth-oriented shops that write smaller checks for minority interests, not buyout funds. NYC.

Don't have direct experience for your question but LMM PE firms (buyout / control) will likely be at ~$175-$225 for 1st year associates. At these smaller firms, cash comp may be decreased for carry allocation although its still somewhat rare for associates to get carry. Probably becomes a bigger difference at the VP+ level.
This is accurate. Growth usually lower than buyout.
What about senior associate / VP at ~$200mm buyout / control funds? What do you think would be a fair cash + carry allocation ?
