Comp, upside, and trade commission "etc"
Hey,
I've just been offered an analyst position with the intent on immediately getting me 63 series license. I'm a scientist by formal education/training, but have been recruited to a biotech fund group. I do not know how to negotiate this deal.
"Try to provide compensation guidance which hopefully is low fixed overhead but percentages of upside, trade commissions etc."
This is based in NY. I have a PhD but no experience on Wall Street (formally). Have some experience with consulting, and is the reason I've been offered the position.
I am not sure the fund size but I am assuming between 100M-200M, likely on the lower side of that.
I am going to request 65K, 1% of upside, and .5% of trade. Please let me know if this makes sense and if I should specify anything else? I'm completely new to this.
