Complementing my M.A economics with additional studies?
Hi All,
I just joined the WSO. As a former aspiring physician, I studied biology and worked throughout in various positions in sales , project management, and helped build a startup as well.
I am starting my Masters in economics part-time soon and is looking to transition into private equity or business development roles . ( I am imaging a position that is 50% modeling/analysis research, 25% sales, 25% other). ( I've learned that mastering economics is highly beneficial in business and really enjoy the subject).
I do plan to do an MBA later (I want to enter the field and save the MBA for later as a platform elevator)..
Should I do a CFA? or take graduate diplomas in Accounting/Finance ( ex. London university international LSE graduate diploma in Account and finance - cost 5000 for both)? ( I plan to do either the CFA or these graduate diplomas while taking the M.A in economics).
I also do have a PMP
Any help and advise would be much appreciated?
Thanks
