Completely Screwed - Deadset on IB

So at this stage of the game if I have no SA offers from BB's am I pretty much just SOL? I'm a junior at target 3.7 GPA w/ business school research experience. I'm not deadset on IB, HF, PE, or IM would also be good.

Already applied to 20 or so MM's, mostly via e-mail and have heard nothing. Would a finance internship with a health insurance company do anything for FT IB prospects next year or will they just not give a shit and be like why no IB internship that summer?

Any other advice for people in my position would be appreciated (I feel like there are more of us this year than usual).

Its been harder to land a SA position this year than in the past 6-7 years. Don't get discouraged.

If I were in your shoes I would be thinking international. Seek out opportunities overseas. Go volunteer for a micro-finance company somewhere. I can't tell you how much my international experience has helped my career development.

You don't need a IB SA position your junior year. However, it will be important that you do any of the things listed above. You can always put some spin on your internship to land that IB FT offer. I was in your situation and made it work, keep at it.
