Compliance at a hedge fund
Does anyone work in the compliance field within a hedge fund? I understand a legal background isn't required, but I believe it could help.
What do you do, do you like it, and are you paid well?
Do you work "internal" or "external" ? https://9apps.ooo/
benchapli75, sorry about the lack of response. Maybe one of these topics will help:

You're welcome.
My father (non-finance) has always said "a lawyer's job is to tell you what you cannot do, not what you can". Hedge funds tend to employ the worst combination of personality type / ego to deal with someone in that type of seat. This is a bit of an exaggeration, but it will likely be a thankless job where you may be made to feel antithetical to the revenue generating side of the business (which can be an unpleasant feeling). That said, those who are talented at finding creative ways to both comply with rules / regulations and enable business are seen as super valuable / thought partners.
people in compliance are the villains of finance
