Consulting Firm College Recruiting Timeline?

Hello, I am a senior college student applying to consulting jobs. I have interviewed with some firms, but haven't heard any further from them yet.

I am just curious to know if you would like to share some information about the time frame these firms usually follow in undergraduate recruiting, include:

When do the first-round interview start? The second one? When shall students be invited to on-location company tours? And when results would come out?

BTW, I interviewed with two of the big four at a job fair, but they never got back to me after a month. Would you recommend me calling their office and find out?

Thanks a lot!

MBB all completed their on-campus recruiting within the last week or so. Smaller firms are generally nearing the completion of their cycles as well and as far as I can tell, Big4 firms are close to finished too. This doesn't mean that you won't be able to find a firm that is interviewing/hiring right now, but it will be significantly more difficult.

Thank you very much. Would you say that Big 4 firms will finish enrolling by next week?

i believe most have finished enrolling entry level, however if there are those who did not accept offers, they may continue to interview on a case-by-case basis. RaphL..what firms did you interview at? I am not sure if you passed their on campus interview or not, how long ago did you interview? usually 2nd rounds are 1-2 weeks after 1st, and 3rd a week after 2nd. i can tell you from my personal experience, i interviewed with big4s and received offers a couple days after interviewing.

That's a no dude... sorry bro

Most M/B/B level firms have made an offer by now. Still, as urinetrouble (interesting name) rightly says, there is always room for one more on a case by case basis...so you should keep aiming high and trying to get the top consulting gigs. A stratregy you can try is aim for the Asian offices (if you don't mind going to Asia) of M/B/B...they're hiring more than NA offices, I reckon.

yea look at asia. the only catch is, in this economy...i highly doubt many people will turn down offers this year. maybe you should try your luck next year? keep on trying now, but be aware that it may not work out. i honestly dont know.

yea especially big4, despite in the influx of hiring they are doing...they limit their entry level. all offers have probably been sent out/accepted by now. look for boutiques now.
