Hello I was wondering what my chances would be to land a FT consulting job given my profile. Unsure as to how likely it would be to land a gig at MBB out of undergrad due to attending a non target school, however what would be the likelihood of candidate like myself obtains FT offers from reputable firms such as OW, L.E.K., Deloitte, Accenture, IBM, AT Kearny, BIG 4s, etc.
Became interested in consulting due to the nature of the work and talking to partners in the industry. Very interested in Financial Services Consulting, and strategy-type consulting and would love to work at a firm like OW. Ultimately would like to obtain a Top-15 MBA; interested in apply to other FT jobs in finance but will probably focus on consulting as a plan A.
Additional Notes:
Have not heard of many students working at MBB out of my non-target, a few a year will get BB IB/S&T, top students geared toward consulting will typically land jobs at Accenture, IBM, or the BIG 4. Many students out of the business college tend to end up taking audit/tax/valuation type roles at the BIG 4.
Any help is very much appreciated. I have been a long time reader of WSO and have learned a lot from many of the experienced professionals contributing and plan on contributing more myself as I progress in the industry.
Thanks
