Consulting/Banking in Miami??
OK, so I thought that I was probably going to Texas, but I just saw that I could probably qualify for a significant scholarship to University of Miami. Money isn't a gigantic concern for my family, but it is a concern nonetheless, so I'm starting to consider Miami, especially since it's close to the city, and has a great pre-med program (I like pre-med also...). So I was wondering is there a lot of banking/consulting opps in Miami? Also, is it possible to get recruited for them because Miami is close to a major city, and has some good ties with them?

Stanford Group is based in Miami. I hear it's a good i-bank but then I also heard they revoked some FT offers this year. Don't mean to put some negative on them, but honestly, I'd be pretty pissed if I found out about something like that after the whole recruiting season is over...
miami: the financial hub of the western hemisphere
keep in mind miami is not a target and your chances of getting BB jobs in NYC are slim (if you have an interest in that) while texas is a semi-target
