Continuing master program or quitting for work?
Monkeys,
I am finishing up my senior year. I am majoring in accounting and i am also part of the plus 1 master in accounting program at my school. I would end up finishing my master degree in Fall 2020. However, I have an internship this summer in the valuation group at a big 4. My question is: Given the fact that my internship is not in accounting and I would accept a return offer should I get one (which is likely), should I drop my master program and get a head start on work experience. I worry that just an accounting degree could potentially hurt me going forward in the finance world, but at the same time I think the opportunity costs of staying in school for another year and a half are high. Would appreciate any input from you guys.
Thanks.
P.S. The MACC program is top notch. Think top 3.
