Coolest Gig in RE (at the analyst/associate level)
Assuming you were able to obtain any job that you wanted, what do you think the coolest gig in RE is at the analyst/associate level?

Acquisitions/AM of casinos specifically Las Vegas. Might be kinda grim with covid but pre/post covid that sounds super interesting to me
Agreed, this takes the prize -- casino acquisitions in Vegas would be so sick
Live-in property manager at a senior living facility. Highly coveted job
Could get kinda grim hahahaha
Gotta second this - I'd imagine analyzing developments in the Caribbean must be a blast. Not to mention the site tours...
AM in the Caribbean and Acquisitions for casinos in Vegas both sound unbelievably cool
Funny, this thread so far goes to show that everybody has different preferences in RE. Hotels seem like the biggest pain in the ass to me, forget about casinos.
Personally, I think if you were on a development/architect team that focused on large, power 5 college enhancements. Specifically talking about adding on a research wing, new science hall, reposition the athletic center, etc. Maybe not your name, but your firm's work will be entrenched in that school's history for many, many years.
That or working for an owner/operator of hospitals. Yeah it's RE but you're really learning about the operations of the healthcare system which I find very interesting.
That sounds awesome, I hadn't thought of that!
Buddy of mine worked for a weathly South American family office years back. This family has their own jet and he went on it couple times. Pretty dope if you asked me though he complained about his shit pay back then.
That is dope af
Working for a sponsor with a programmatic with a fat family office
Living the life my lord
Luxury Student Housing?
I didn't even know that was a thing hahaha
Luxury Marina/Hotel Developer/Acquisitions
these guys go around the world checking out the best beaches as DD for development
The dream
MF REPE Acquisitions
Personally, I’d love to work at a firm with a huge global presence so that I could travel the world doing site tours, cultural dd, and meet interesting players from around the world
Working for a golf resort developer would be pretty cool, but if you wanted consistent deal flow you could work for a place like Arcis golf that acquires a lot of $30/round courses and turns them into $45/round courses.

Development consulting for professional sports stadiums. Probably one of the most fascinating public-private partnerships in real estate.
