Cornell is a mid tier school

But like really. It’s a good school, but Gtown is wayyy better. The kids who get in with a 35% acceptance rate are like I go to ivy. Georgetown is so much harder to get into

Cool story bro.

Here's a pro tip: after your first 1-2 jobs nobody cares where you went to undergrad. The CEO of S&P Dow Jones Indexes got his BA from William & Mary. (Maybe you've heard of several of their products) You probably never even heard of the small place where I went to college.

Even top level MBAs lose some of their clout after a few years depending on if you use them or not.  It seems that top tier professional certs ("letters after your name") fare better, but not in a vacuum.  Also, cr*p designations are always worthless. (looking at you CETF)

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
