Cornell or Claremont McKenna Undergrad?
Got off the waitlist at both schools, was wondering which one is better for recruiting. I personally want to go to Claremont and start my career at a West Coast office, but some family friends have been telling me that West Coast banking is on the decline and everyone's headed back to NYC, which Cornell seems to be better at placing. Is it worth going to Claremont McKenna for a better undergraduate experience and some debt (~140k), or suffer through four years of upstate New York and graduate debt-free? Would I have better opportunities at Claremont McKenna since there are less kids total gunning for IB jobs?
Go to Cornell.
Going in debt to reject an ivy league school is insane.
Cornell sends kids to west coast IF they show interest, which most don't because NYC is close.
Cornell without question.
120k+ for a lateral school? Doesn't make much sense. If you're interested in the West Coast, start getting internships/relevant experience as soon as possible and you'll be able to get there.
I work in tech in SF and there are tons of east coasters/ivy leaguers.
Is it worth forgoing the quality of life offered by a SoCal school for the name-brand of Cornell?
