Cornell vs USC vs WashU vs BC vs Brown
Hey all,
I’m looking for some opinions on undergrad. Money isn’t a factor, so I’m really for a prestigious and enjoyable college experience. I’m looking to ideally go into a BB or PE after grad either in NYC or SF or LA and should hopefully have some connections when the time comes. Here are my opinions and for reference my top choices were Wharton and Stanford. I have them kind of ranked in order rn
Cornell (hotel)
Pros
-most prestigious, ivy
-seems like a pretty fun school
-in NY state
Cons
-Ithaca sucks, and Ithaca weather sucks
-brutal curve
-hard to say why but I just don’t like the vibe, many people love it but I visited on a gloomy dark day...
USC Marshall
Pros
-should be the most enjoyable college experience. (Football, women, frat)
-prestigious for California
-know a bunch of people there
-parents want me to go
Cons
-semitarget for NYC and overall to west coast centric.
-Small endowment per capita
-University Spoiled children reputation i I
WashU Olin
Pros-
Apparently it places very well on the east and west coast??
Could do a sport
Friendly vibe and nice campus
Cons-
-Everyone shits on it in this forum so don’t think it’s actually that good
-lots of alumni in Midwest
-it’s in Missouri
Brown
pros-
ivy, great alumni.
Less competitive for IB prestigious
Cons-
Student body it too artsy.
Didn’t really feel the fit tbh, but I’m sure I’d find it eventually
BC (carrol)
-not really considering it much but who knows
Thanks everyone and please let me know if it would be worth trying to transfer to Penn CAS or a more definite target.
Intern in IB-M&A, pure crickets, that's where I come in. Any of these useful?
More suggestions...
Hope that helps.
