Coronavirus: OFFICIAL FREAKOUT THREAD

My college (private uni in East Coast) has just switched to online classes for the rest of the semester. I've received an offer from a BB a couple of weeks ago (accepted it) and was told that I should expect to wait awhile before my hiring process is complete. The risk-adjusted returns of my life have tanked like the S&P500 over the past couple of days.

Let's all freakout here.

EDIT: I've gotten hit with too much poo. I think I got hit with the coronavirus now :/. I've hidden my identity to not be stigmatized for my condition. This thread has some level of realism to it, but it's mainly just a place for people to vent about their situations and relate to one other so please don't take it seriously.

I admit that its more serious than I initially thought it would be. However, the fact remains that those who are dying from it are generally older and have pre-existing health probelms (smoking, obesity, etc.). Not to sound insensitive to those who have been affected, but I think as long you take care of yourself and take extra precaution with your personal hygiene for the next little while, the vast majority of us will be fine.

I'm feeling exceptionally lucky. Trump's little tariff war late last year meant we diversified most supply chains. They are 5% - 10% pricier than the usual Chinese manufacturers we like to use but certainly still profitable to use. I'm just hoping they don't shit out like China did.

BTW, I've also received news from most of our Chinese manufacturers that they've rebooted. I think this will be over much more quickly than we think.

There's a chance that even recovering from coronavirus leaves permanent lung damage. Have fun with that.
