Corp card or personal credit cards?
I'm joining a MM investment bank next month (fresh grad) and was wondering if Analysts get corporate credit cards and how doest that work?
Trying to plan out which credit cards to start out with and would love some insight on how that works.
Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I really have no idea. Thanks in advance!

get a platty to help cut up some lines for the boys you feel?
Lmao you'll probably et a corp card.
Will I be allowed to use my own cc for dinners/ubers/flights?
At my bank we’re required to use the corporate card. If you forget it or something, you can expense things to your personal and get reimbursed, but it’s not supposed to be an every night kind of thing. Sucks, with all those lost points I could take an insane vacation
No you'll likely be required to use the corporate amex. They usually don't want people putting personal cc charges through expenses as it's more inconvenient.
It'll depend on firm policy. From my experience, you can only use the corp card for expenses you intend to reimburse (late dinners, travel, etc.) and cannot use it for personal expenses. Also, depending on your corp card, the card issuer may give you access to a special kind of personal cc that you may find worthwhile. For general advice on cc in general, this guy is pretty great: The Points Guy - Maximize your travel..
Regardless of whether you get a corporate card, you should have your own credit card(s). I've never experienced a scenario where corporate card benefits (i.e. points, reimbursements, etc.) accrue to the employee. These benefits shouldn't be taken for granted as I've booked countless flights, hotels, rental cars, and entire vacations from points.
Points Guy is a great resource for the latest offers and card comparisons. I started with a freedom card from Chase in college, then went a sapphire preferred, then upgraded to a sapphire reserve, with a few AMEX cards thrown in purely for vanity sake. Take advantage of the endless offers from credit card companies, most of which are in the format of "spend $[ 3k ] in three months and receive [50,000] points".
My old company used AMEX and we could pay around $100 a year to collect the points earned on the corp card.
Which MM are you joining? As others have said each one does it differently. Best case they reimburse you and you get to keep all the points and choose which cards to focus your spending. For personal cards, either choose Chase or Amex and then get multiple cards with that provider as each has specific cards for things like travel, restaurants and general spend.
I’m also joining a mm bank this summer and we got Amex gold’s as Corp card. Not sure what the policy around it is yet, but I’m assuming we’re supposed to use it for all work expenses instead of our personal cards
does anyone know how blair chicago does this? can i use my personal card so i can get points?
Blair Chicago gives you a corporate card.
