Corp. Dev & Corp Strat for MBA Admissions
Haven't seen any threads on this and was wondering how corp dev and corp strat are looked at in terms of MBA admissions, and more specifically those who joined from undergrad. Are they grouped in the finance bucket or elsewhere?

Depends on what you want to do after. If it's consulting, then strategy would be an easier sell. But honestly, you'll be fine with either as long as you have a good gmat.
Although I can't be too sure how the adcom will bucket corp dev/corp strategy, I assume it will likely be within the corporate/sector bucket. So, if for example you were in corp dev since graduation at Exxon, you'd be competing closely with other applicants from finance roles in energy (or other corporates at a broader level).
