Corporate Banking full-time
Have found a lot of information about corporate banking salary and day-to-day. I'm curious about the recruiting timeline for full-time and GPA requirements.
Looked through many of the BB corporate banks' college recruiting websites and they currently have no postings. Assuming that recruiting is primarily during the fall semester, is this correct?
Also, what are common GPAs for this field?
Finally, are those who have started their career in corporate banking enjoying it? The work/life balance seems great. What is the compensation really like, especially once you move to an RM type role? Salary seems to be inflated quite often on this forum.
Thanks in advance for the insight.

Why aren't there Corporate Banking Analyst campus-recruiting programs? (Originally Posted: 10/16/2011)
I was not successful with Royal Bank of Canada's IBD analyst recruiting program. However, my school's career center does not have postings for this bank's corporate banking analyst positions. It's equally the same for the other banks. Does Corporate Banking have their own campus recruiting programs? If yes, is it because they don't get posted so early in the year?
Banks do have corporate banking analyst programs for OCR. Possibly they don't go to your school or have cut back this year given either 1) a strong intern pool that accepted most/all offers or 2) the cutbacks in hiring. What school do you go to?
They probably dont target your school.
I know Wells Fargo does, and they ONLY recruit in the fall. After that, they bring people in piecemeal until they are staffed.
What school do you go to? We had a recruiting meeting about a month ago, and reviewed the recruiting process. Some of our our targets this year for mid-west and east were the top boston schools, wake forest, UNC, and UIUC.
Its a fairly small program. You are much more likely to have seen Wells Fargo's commercial bank recruiting near you
Best internship to position yourself for BB corporate banking ft ? (Originally Posted: 03/02/2012)
I was asked this question the other day, and I was completely stumped. I'm think the best experience for someone looking to do BB corp banking would be boutique IB/PE maybe a small business lender.
Thoughts ?
