Corporate Finance in a Bank

I am working for a boutique corporate finance firm. Its been 2yrs+/- and am earning below market related. I do love the environment I work in but its hard to get experience from the guys I work with who are typical ex-stock broking turned Corp. Fin. guys. My mentor has told me of Corp. Fin. at a BB bank would have more exposure and higher dealflow for my career. But most of all the money is good.

I need to get a salary bump in order to pay for studies and get married and take care of my existing family before I start a family.

I have been trying to get into a local BB in South Africa and its really difficult.
Anyone with local experience and know-how to crack the IB nodd?
