Corporate treasury trading?
Anyone have any color on this group/function? I’m currently interviewing with them at MS/GS and am not sure what to expect. From their description, it’s managing the firm resources a blend of S&T and treasury but not sure how compensation and career trajectory would be.

Very bank and group dependent, and most banks will have multiple treasury/CIO/central risk functions so it depends on which one of those, not just which bank. Can either be a glorified funding role that's one to avoid or a closet macro hedge fund that takes material prop risk
From the interviewer’s description - it seems to be funding/short term rates/repo/bond borrow/ portfolio management
If it's the same team, I interviewed with GS team a year or so back. Again, assuming it's the same team, then they're split between NY and Salt Lake. It was a very engineering heavy role and they were more focused on cost minimization than profit maximization, so not a rev gen position in the traditional sense. There were a lot of really smart people on the team, so it could be a good start or stepping stone.
