Couldn't get FO SA role in my second (of three years) year in uni at a UK Target.. but got a BO, what now?

Basically I messed up my interviews and failed to get something FO this year. I managed to get a CADP position at JPM but if my eventual goal is to get an FO role, am I screwed? Will this be a good stepping stone for me?

I suppose it'll come down to take the offer vs not to but i'm worried that if I take the offer i'd be pigeonholing myself into this line of work for the future

Relevant experience >> Not relevant work experience >>>>> No experience at all.

What would you do during the summer if you don't take this gig? If you plan to volunteer or build a biz or whatever then we can discuss that but if this is a choice between taking this job vs no job at all... Well i recommend taking the job.

Corp dev stuff is not terrible and you can definitely spin that in a positive way. Retail banking at Citi = no no and i assume that is not in London/UK.

What makes Citi a nono, just curious? Unfortunately neither of the positions are for the London office this time round.

If I didn't do this gig i'd probably just spend the summer wasting my time working part time in restaurants and bars I suppose..

Honestly my biggest motivator for the FO role is the respect it seems to get as compared to MO/BO, the higher salary and also more opportunities for exit ops.. red flags I know but i'm just being honest :/
