If someone tells me to send a resume to his email address but only tells me his first name, how should I address the cover letter? Should I write Dear First Name, or just write To Whom it May Concern?

if he is someone like a family friend or contact maybe go with the first name. but in all honesty, it shouldn't be too hard to find out his last name, check the company website, doostang, linkedin, do a google search, ask whoever gave you the email, etc.
