CRE Analyst Fast Track

Anybody familiar with CRE Analyst Fast Track course (can't post a link but if you Google the course name it'll come up)? I've done a lot of online coursework (REFM, ACRE Accelerator, BIWS, Argus certification, etc.) to sharpen my modeling skills but would be interested in something like this that seems to center more around fundamentals in the business and dive further into the assumptions behind the modeling. Looks like the instructor has taught at NYU and SMU, has anybody heard of/taken anything like this that can share their experience?

Was always interested in Kahr's courses but was somewhat turned off by the fact that they were compressed into a weekend.

Honestly, I'm not sure how many people will really pay $5k, or 'apply' and all that stuff (in fairness, I read it all really fast...). The proliferation of these course offerings doesn't really surprise me, but I would really try and figure out what you wanting from it.

For reference, I think you could get a non-credit certificate from NYU or Cornell and maybe even MIT for $5k. Those would have some resume value (limited, but something), I am not sure this do anything for a resume.

Where are you in life?

If you've already been through REFM, ACRE, BIWS, Argus, etc. - it's worth remembering that there is only so much you can learn from a course. At some point, you need to just get into the industry.

If you're an undergrad, that means an internship. If you're out of school, that means networking and finding a job.

$5,000 for a weekend course sounds awful to me. If you are really hungry for additional knowledge and credentials, there could always be a MRED or MBA in your future.

I'm about to finish start my senior year of undergrad. Don't care much for credentials. I may go get my MBA at some point but don't currently have plans to do that yet, but that may change depending on what the job market looks like a year from now.

Right now I think my ideal track would be to go work at an investment sales/capital markets brokerage shop where I feel I'll get a strong number of high quality reps. I'm from the Dallas area originally so my primary targets would probably be JLL, Cushman, and Berkadia. I know Eastdil is increasing their presence in Dallas as well.

Yeah I just think at this point you could spend $5,000 a lot more intelligently than on yet another online course.

Setting up 1,000 networking meetings over $5 coffees, for instance.
