CRE Underwriter
Does anyone here know what the comp for a tenured CRE underwriter is? I know acquisitions and capital markets people can make a lot but don't see much on the subject of CRE underwriting salaries and comp at a top tier brokerage house.Starting I'd image 60-80k plus bonus but with 5-10 years exp how much are these UWs making?
Not sure about a brokerage house, but comp at a traditional bank for a 5-10 yr experienced CRE underwriter in a medium/high COL area would likely be around 100 - 120k with a 10-15% bonus.
It would definitely be higher than that at any of the larger banks (JPM, BAC, WFC, etc).
Why is that?
This feels low. I have just about 2 years agency underwriting analyst exp, making $95k. MCOL city
All in or base?
I'm an underwriting associate at a debt fund in a big firm with about 5 years or RE experience. Located in NYC.
Current base is $135k & 40% bonus. Probably could have pushed for more, but I was pretty excited to get the offer.
While interviewing, other firms quoted they could hit $200k all in or more. Once place specifically said $125k + 75%.
