Credit Suisse Autumn / Final-Year Internship London IBDCM

Hey guys, I got an offer for the Autumn Internship at CS in IBDCM starting from September 2019. I was wondering if somebody knew a little bit more about it, like how many interns do they really hire after this 10 week programme (conversion rate). The HR rep told me it was very "competitive" but did not want to give a specific figure when I asked her to clarify. Besides, if you knew more about CS in London, like the culture / atmosphere, and the salaries (base + bonus) as an Analyst 1, It would be great! Many thanks :)

IBCM CS in London is quite reputable, culture/atmosphere is the best among banks in London - known to be friendly and quick promotion if you're good - except for hours which are known to be among the longest. You can find compensation on WSO reports. I'd say similar to US banks at junior level but then US banks pay better at senior levels. I didn't even know CS did autumn internships (don't you have lectures at this time of the year? are you in a target?), but I know they recruit a lot from their summer internship in London.

It's great, thanks for your insights, it's good to know! I am in my final year of study, and will be graduated in the meantime. As CS recruit a lot from their summer internship, I'm wondering if they hire a lot from their final-year internship too... A conversion rate of 20-30% rather than 70-80% makes a huge difference! :)

Spoke to some people who have completed the programme this year:) The conversion rate always depends on circumstances – my contact got the FT offer cuz some analysts left from the group.

This year was extremely competitive, with a conversion rate of approx 20% (as mentioned above). Culture-wise I agree with what was mentioned, analysts and associates very open to help and friendly. Hours are long but I guess it is like most BB banks out there. Best of luck!
