That's what happens when you fuck with risk management and lose $5.5B overnight. Surprised that they hiked base at all. I'm definitely taking advantage of the hot market and lateraling as soon as possible. At the end of the day we do this for two things (1) the experience and (2) money. I'm definitely not staying at a place where I can't maximize the latter. Hopefully I get to shop myself around while I can.

It's important context here though that CS was the first to raise salaries at all. It's only after CS raised by 5 that the others raised by 15, so can't really blame them. They also just paid all the analysts fat on bonuses, no dreaded pay cuts at CS - $70k top bucket AN1, $110k top bucket AN2, even in the lower tier groups. This is all on top of the fully separate $20k one-time covid bonus

I got a summer analyst offer which puts the base pay at $100k/year. Did they end up raising it $15k instead of $5k?

Did they bump up associates to 200k? Is this across all incoming associates or current associates?

Not sure if this info is still accurate. I just got an offer for SA IB NYC which pays a prorated first year analyst salary over the summer. It put the base at $100k/year, not $90k.
