Credit Transfer Complications
I am a December 2011 undergraduate majoring in Finance and Accounting.
I received an offer and have signed with a boutique research firm to join as a first year equity research associate.
I am expected to start in January.
My background check and employment paperwork are complete.
I took online classes to fulfill my general education requirements while working during the previous summers.
I met with my advisor one last time to make sure everything is clear before graduation.
She mentioned that some of the classes I took during the summers never transferred back to my university.
I am working on having the other institutions send the transcripts.
However, I haven't had much cooperation from the registrar departments.
I don't know why but my guess is its because I was a visiting student.
They're saying it will take 6-8 weeks for them to process my requests which may delay in me receiving my diploma.
I realize that this is no one's fault but my own. I don't know if employer's verify anything else regarding education once the background check is complete. My question is whether this predicament will cause problems with my employer if the credits don't transfer in time?
