They run full on-campus recruiting at Yale, Harvard, Stanford. Perhaps other schools too but those are the ones I know. Interviews given based on resume drop without networking as well.

Great program with many Analysts being promoted to Associates and excellent b-school exits throughout. Having said that, Crestview is quite pedigree-obsessed so networking outside of on-campus recruiting may not work.

@Goldmanorbust101 - you're truly an asshole. Your post history suggests you're a prestige obsessed prospect with no understanding of how the industry works at all. Best of luck to you

From how its been explained to me yes very pedigree focused but yes they are MM so out of undergrad they aren't getting the cream of the crop out of HSW, they just care about the school at the top of the resume. They take the people at HSW that didn't get MF PE or didn't get Top IB/MBB, which still leaves a talented bunch but isn't the super type A you might expect. Good MM firm though, recently raised 1.9bn

Very inaccurate information. Crestview is a highly regarded firm that takes top-tier talent. Just because it is small does not mean it is not a strong firm -- the founders could have easily chosen not to expand. Undergrad recruiting is almost exclusively from Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Stanford. Associate recruiting is from bulge brackets and top independent firms. Great pay, I have heard it has a good if elitist culture, and great b-school placement. If I leave my firm to go downstream I would be very happy to go to a firm like Crestview

Quality of associates has dropped off meaningfully the past several years (at one point they were solely recruiting from MS/GS/JPM, and vast majority of those kids went to H/S/P/Y. I'm guessing their funds haven't been performing well, their most recent fundraise isn't even close to where the previous fund was. Pay is also below market. From what I understand, b-school placement is pretty good though and lifestyle is great

I used to like these guys a lot, a MM firm known to have good culture, pay fairly well (UMM pay) and performance also quite strong with very strong senior leadership. They were always very particular about associate hiring. I should note that they’ve always been very “blue blooded” as a firm, particularly concerned with pedigree both in terms of bank, which is common, but also concerned with undergrad school much more than others.

In recent years the hiring has been much more connection based, inviting a lot more nepotism / relationship hires into the firm, many of whom were middle / lower bucket analysts in their respective banking groups, which is disappointing.
