It’s great. I love the fact that sheeple white people are forced to watch videos and attend lectures telling them they’re racist scum. And the best part is that they’ll sit there and take it up the ass with a smile before asking management to shove it in a little deeper, all because they’re scared cowards or self-loathing liberals. Makes me laugh so hard.
Agreed. Absolutely LOVE THIS for them, ded fkn srs.
The self loathing white SJW supporting liberals that works at DISNEY and GOLDMAN SACHS and FACEBOOK and GOOGLE and every other elite corporate entity deserve to be told they are racist and unfairly reached their position of power. They voted for it, they deserve it.
OMG, the word "sheeple" is one of the most insufferable terms of all time...especially when using it to describe the population of one of the most individualistic, culturally diverse countries in the world.
Shutup whiteboi and go obediently sit through your diversity & inclusion training.
You are watching a new religion get formed. Enjoy the historical moment!
This ideology is literal poison. It seems as if it was specifically designed to tear our country apart, race by race. It's core belief is that our very institutions are designed to maintain white supremacy, and that if you are a minority and can't succeed, it's not your fault. It's the fault of capitalism, our laws, the courts, the very institutions that make up the United States. It rejects personal responsibility and the ability of the individual to better himself. This philosophy is readily being accepted by the younger generations (wHo aRE gOIng tO sAVe tHe wORLd froM cLiMatE cHAngE!!!). It will only spread further as it is propagated throughout the schools and every facet of our lives. This evil needs to be stamped out with the truth. America is quite possibly one of the greatest country on this planet. Anyone who works hard, works smart, and makes the right decisions here can pull themselves into the middle class. The fact that you don't look "white" is not why you are behind. And can someone please remind me, if our country is built on racism, why is it that Asian-Americans are more prosperous than whites? Oh yeah, it's because they are mOdEl MINoRitIEs who somehow also benefit from white supremacy, not because their parents raised them to be responsible and hard-working. Fuck this poison. It needs to die.
Yeah, and if you're against CRT, you're a racist.
All the BBs have diversity programs, so yes, I work at a bank that does that stuff. I don't have a big problem with it. Doesn't really get in the way of anything.
I would disagree. A diversity program is not necessarily CRT.
CRT basically explains everything in the world through the lens of race...which is obviously wrong for so many reasons.
However, you can still support diversity programs while realizing that blaming everything on race doesn't make sense. I think that's where we've been in the US for the past 30 years or so.
I think most people who support diversity realize that this a great country but you may still want to give some people a leg up with a bad starting point.
CRT believes this is a terrible and inherently racist country and it must be equalized by force.
Hence, two very different ideas actually.
I think that one of the key underpinnings of CRT is affirmative action - the idea that merit is not the best way to evaluate people.
People just love to complain

White privilege is overplayed.
Economic privilege is a thing
High iq privilege is a thing.
Being an atheltic 6 foot 10 black guy privilege is a thing
Being a hot girl privilege is a thing(literal life on easy mode, regardless of race)
You acknowledge every privilege in the book except for white privilege? I’m a registered republican and even I see the bias in this statement
I think it was Dave Attel that had a really good joke on this a while back, "Words you will never hear....'Look at that hot homeless chick on the corner'"
I'll explain to you very simply why these inequities exist. Native-born blacks, in general, spend less time in school and more time hanging out with their buddies. Those who don't become successful. Asians, in general, spend more time studying and delaying gratification. Those who don't become failures. There you go. That's my critical race theory.
If anything is choppy , sorry typed this quickly on mobile.
I have a big problem with it being in schools Because As others mentioned it is incredibly divisive. Personally as a kid I didn’t know much about race and gender in the current. Yeah I was aware that some classmates were girls and others were different races, but I never was told I am an active oppressor or inherent racist. Slavery was recognized but it was also seen as something of the past. Now we are in the MLK area if you will one where color doesn’t matter. CRT goes opposite ton MLK and says that color DOES matter. Additionally it will be taught as fact. Whats even worse is part of CRT is ways to organize and challenge the systems in place. At a minimum you will see violent acts such as riots and looting get a pass in the name of “social justice” and at the extreme you have a Marxist revolution. And you can be sure that students grades will be tied to adopting and regurgitating these theories. Critical thinking is a thing of the past.
I have a problem with it being at the workplace because it is standard to keep politics out of the work place again due to the divisive nature of it yet this CRT training seems to get a pass. For what it’s worth these big corporations talk about equality yet continue to outsource labor paying workers in Bangladesh $1/hour to sew clothes in terrible working conditions. Where’s the push for these workers?

This is an "awakening" in the collective consciousness in the same way that Maoist cultural revolution or National Socialism were awakenings. Everyone going retarded in short order because a very small, very powerful elite pushed an ideology down on the masses isn't some great thing. If an absolute and complete refusal to acknowledge any fact, statistic or argument that doesn't fit the narrative handed to you from on high is an "awakening", then maybe society should go the fuck back to sleep.
There is no evidence supporting critical theory as an effective or useful framework for examining human outcomes. It's a mind pathogen. Something that we must work towards eradicating if our civilization is to survive.
Very well said
Screen name checks out....

You nailed it!
STFU about white privilege BS.
As a minority, I know it's just another racist attempt for white people to try to control us. All this SJW crap is just "White Men's Burden 2.0".
We didn't need your "help" 200 years ago and we sure as hell don't need it now.
We ain't falling for it this time.
Yes, it is surely "white privilege" that makes blacks not want cooperate when they're being arrested for breaking the law and then get shot for pulling knives on officers. Every time I see that in the news and then the inevitable chimpout, I just remember it's because I am white that they do that and I need to check my privilege at the door

I'm sure this thread will be full of civil discourse
It will be a handful of people being shit on by most posters probably. There are ideological wokies and there are analytical finance people. The latter group has some overlap with wokies, but far less than fields like tech. Most woke people in finance are incidentally woke - they're going along with what they're told to believe. If polite society told them different then their views would change. They're politically inactive. The subset of finance people who are willing to bitch about politics online is overwhelmingly going to be anti woke garbage.
>Most woke people in finance are incidentally woke
I don't think this is true. Most people in finance curate their public image carefully.
About as open minded and civil as a university classroom on this topic or a diversity class at the office, i.e. not at all and if you don't agree you're racist
The social and economic outcomes of Nigerian immigrants are on par with US born whites. Same is true for West Indians, who in almost all cases were descended from slaves.
CRT is nonsense devised by the same people who openly claim that black adults are too stupid and disorganized to figure out how to get a Govt ID.
Thomas Sowell has entered the chat
It is absolutely pathetic. It stems from this belief that if something is fucked up in your life... it's not your fault but the system. fucking participation trophy generation
Everyone I work with at my fund is white and conservative. It's so chill I love it. Literally fuck ever working or dealing with hardcore liberals. Got my fill in college and never want to subject myself to the combination of mind numbing stupidity and utter lack of self-awareness. It's reflected in what they believe of course, which includes CRT.
I don’t care for it, I took a sociology class this semester and got my fill of all this bullshit.
neither I, nor a single one of my black relatives believes this kinda stuff
now, to answer the question, like all banks, my BB has diversity initiatives and I'm involved in a few efforts locally. I am not involved in the hiring process but I do firmly believe the way to have more diversity of thought (which is my focus more than box checking) is to expand recruitment channels and get people of different backgrounds instead of a rainbow of colors from the top colleges in the country. maybe it's willful blindness, but this is definitely not a top-down firm level initiative. surely some people within the diversity circles believe this stuff but I've not heard any of that stuff here locally or even regionally.
I told you so and I hope every Biden voter gets it hammered in their head for the next 4 years.
Then maybe the Italian-American duo, president DeSantis and his newly appointed chief of anti-racism, Chris Rufo, will free America from the sociopathic racist dictatorship of white liberals.
Unfortunately you're one of those idiots.
Hi Miltonfriedcoward. You get what you deserve.
Speaking of idiots, the day you start your sentence by identifying intersectional combination, you are certainly one.
#americanproblems
observing from across the pond so this may be off the mark or an oversimplification, but how can a country that twice elected a black president be systemically racist?
Low IQ comment
Enlighten me then
Would you be willing to expand on the interview point?
I'm convinced that CRT is the culmination of years of foreign propaganda/misinformation/disinformation (China? Russia? Iran? All of them?) to divide, weaken, and ultimately lead America to its downfall from the inside. Buckle up buckaroos, we're in the endgame now.
Yeah, it's just too coincidental that this stuff has built up in the years that 1) Russia has been recovering from the USSR collapse and that 2) China has become more powerful.
I'm a Canadian who's worked in finance in both the US and Canada and I'd never even heard of this CRT concept until now.
I'm not saying I agree with CRT but I'm just stopping by to say that some of y'all are way too mad in here. You can disagree with an ideology without shitting on its proponents or singling out people who support it.
Oh god not this, grabbing my popcorn now
Genuine question, if you don't like it why don't you just quit, what do you benefit from complaining? Or do you just want an echo chamber?
You can not like certain aspects of the job and still do it for other reasons. People discuss their views here because that discussion is not allowed in the workplace.
As a minority, I know that all this CRT BS is just another nefarious attempt for white people to try to control us.
"Oh we're so sorry our ancestors were super racist to you. But we are doing our best to fix it ya know? So just let us do things for you".
HORSESHIT.
You know what the white colonialists said 200 years ago when they ransacked the rest of the world? They used this thing called "White Men's Burden" to justify taking over colonies and fucking shit up.
"Oh look at these poor uncivilized people. We have no choice but to help them out".
WE AIN'T BUYING IT THIS TIME.
When the Mongols killed off 1/4 of the world population in a brutal manner, they were angels instead. Rofl.
Genghis Khan was Asian, so it was okay according to CRT.
I don't believe in CRT, either. But that's simply because I don't think it totally rests on being a legal issue. Most laws in this country have been written at the time of 2021 to provide a degree of fairness to all races, both women and men. Because of that, I'm comfortable with rejecting this concept as too ideological.
However, I do think the legacy of slavery, the failed Reconstruction, and Jim Crow have left a stain and caused a tremendous gap where primarily poor southern black people, the ex slave descendants, were left with a lot of economic and mental destitution. And, when I look at the hood, I see people who are comfortable with their surroundings because that's what they inherited and have grown accustomed to it as their own.
For that reason, I think governments have a lot of unworking to do for their own past mistakes. The institution of slavery and Jim Crow were both brought on by governments and I look at it as an incomplete job to rebuild those communities they once tore down. It's necessary to accept the fact that within our current culture exists a subculture that was engineered to be broken.
That's all fine and well, but the solutions for "rebuilding the black community" have been laughable, remarkable failures. The Democratic Party has the blood of countless black people on their hands.
