Hey folks, I want to get your thoughts on this email I am planning on sending to this Allumni to follow up on my application.
Background info: I networked a decent amount at this AM firm over the summer, and all of the allumni I spoke with said to keep them updated with my application.
What I will potentially send:
" Hi ____,
Good morning, I hope you have been enjoying your fall! I want to follow up with you and ask if you perhaps have heard any information about the ____? I applied to the _____ last month and was just curious if I should expect a status update soon. Please let me know if you have heard anything.
Thanks for all your help and time! I hope you enjoy the rest of the week.
Kind regards,
_________ "
Just curious if this email sounds pushy or if the tone and wording of this email seems right. The last thing I want to do is sound pushy or demanding to an allumni who took time out of their day to talk to me and help me out.
Let me know what y'all think. Thanks

I would change to something like "I want to follow up with you and see if you are familiar with the timing and process for X..." And then scratch "Please let me know if you..." as it's not necessary.
